Terms of Service

Stay for Dinner, LLC.

Effective Date: October 19, 2026

Welcome to Stay for Dinner.

Stay for Dinner is operated by Stay for Dinner, LLC (“Stay for Dinner,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

We believe a good meal is about more than what's on the plate. It's about conversation, connection, and making someone feel cared for.

These Terms of Service explain how our experiences work, what you can expect from us, and what we ask of the individuals and families we serve.

By booking or purchasing a Stay for Dinner experience, you agree to these Terms of Service.

1. About Our Services

Stay for Dinner provides personalized, in-home dining and companionship experiences.

Depending on the experience selected, services may include:

  • Grocery shopping and meal preparation

  • Preparing favorite recipes or special-occasion meals

  • Cooking together, when desired and appropriate

  • Sharing a meal and conversation

  • Recreational activities, such as cards or puzzles

  • Kitchen cleanup following meal preparation

  • Brief visit summaries and photographs shared with authorized contacts, when permitted

The specific services, duration, and pricing associated with each experience will be communicated before booking.

2. Hospitality, Not Healthcare

Stay for Dinner is a hospitality and companionship service. We do not provide medical care, nursing services, personal care, or emergency response services.

Our companions do not administer medications, assist with bathing or dressing, provide physical transfers, perform medical procedures, or offer medical advice.

Our services are not a substitute for professional caregiving, home healthcare, or supervision required for an individual's health or safety.

Guests must be able to participate safely in the experience without assistance beyond the agreed hospitality services, or have appropriate additional support arranged.

If an individual's needs fall outside the scope of our services, we may decline, modify, or discontinue an experience.

3. Booking and Scheduling

All experiences are subject to companion availability, service-area coverage, and confirmation by Stay for Dinner.

When arranging a visit, customers may be asked to provide information about the guest's food preferences, dietary restrictions, household environment, and other details necessary to personalize the experience.

We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate scheduling requests and preferred companions, but cannot guarantee availability.

A reservation is confirmed only after Stay for Dinner communicates its acceptance and any required payment has been received.

4. Companion Matching

We believe the right company makes all the difference.

Stay for Dinner seeks to match guests with companions based on personality, interests, preferences, and availability.

Our selection process may include interviews, reference checks, background screening, and other evaluations.

While we make thoughtful efforts to create positive matches, personal compatibility cannot be guaranteed.

Customers may contact us if they have concerns about a companion or would like to request a different match.

5. Pricing and Payment

Prices are listed on our website or provided during the booking process.

Unless otherwise specified:

  • Experience prices cover the services and duration described at booking.

  • Groceries and other approved purchases are billed separately at cost.

  • Additional guests, extended visits, or special requests may involve additional charges.

  • Applicable taxes and other required fees will be disclosed during checkout or before payment.

Payment is required according to the terms communicated at booking.

Any additional expenses must be authorized before they are incurred, except where otherwise agreed in advance.

6. Cancellations and Rescheduling

We understand that plans change.

Our proposed cancellation policy is:

  • More than 48 hours before a visit: Customers may reschedule or receive a refund of the service fee.

  • 24–48 hours before a visit: Customers may reschedule, subject to availability, or receive a 50% refund of the service fee.

  • Less than 24 hours before a visit: The service fee is nonrefundable, except where required by law.

Groceries or other purchases already made specifically for the experience may remain chargeable, subject to applicable law.

If Stay for Dinner must cancel a confirmed visit, customers may choose to reschedule or receive a refund of the affected service fee.

We may make reasonable exceptions for emergencies or extraordinary circumstances.

7. Cookies and Website Analytics

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to support functionality, understand website performance, and improve the visitor experience.

Depending on the technologies enabled on our website, third-party analytics or advertising services may also collect information about website activity.

You can manage certain cookies through your browser settings and any privacy controls made available on our website.

7. Food Preferences and Allergies

We want every meal to be enjoyable and thoughtfully prepared.

Customers are responsible for communicating known food allergies, dietary restrictions, and relevant food-related needs before an experience.

While companions will make reasonable efforts to follow the information provided, we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment or eliminate all risks of cross-contact.

Guests with severe allergies or medically prescribed dietary requirements should discuss their needs with Stay for Dinner before booking.

Our companions do not provide medical nutrition therapy or professional dietary advice.

8. The Home Environment

For everyone's comfort and safety, customers agree to provide a reasonably clean, accessible, and safe environment for the scheduled experience.

This includes:

  • Working kitchen appliances and appropriate food preparation facilities

  • Access to clean water and necessary utilities

  • Disclosure of relevant household hazards

  • Appropriate arrangements for pets when necessary

  • A respectful, nonthreatening environment for companions

Stay for Dinner may cancel or end a visit if conditions present a significant safety concern.

9. Guest Well-Being and Emergencies

Our companions are there to prepare meals, share conversation, and provide a welcoming experience—not to provide medical supervision.

Customers should inform us of any relevant circumstances that could affect a guest's ability to participate safely.

In the event of an apparent emergency, a companion may contact emergency services and attempt to notify the designated emergency contact.

Stay for Dinner does not guarantee emergency response times or continuous monitoring of guests.

Customers remain responsible for arranging any medical, personal care, or ongoing supervision that a guest requires.

10. Family Updates and Photography

When authorized, Stay for Dinner may provide brief updates following a visit, including a summary of the evening and photographs.

Photographs will only be taken and shared with appropriate consent.

Customers are responsible for identifying the individuals authorized to receive these updates.

Stay for Dinner will not use identifiable guest photographs or personal stories for marketing purposes without separate permission.

Guests may decline photographs without affecting their ability to enjoy our services.

11. Gift Cards and Gift Experiences

Stay for Dinner gift cards may be purchased in available denominations and redeemed toward eligible experiences.

Gift cards:

  • May be used toward qualifying services, subject to availability.

  • May be applied toward an experience that costs more than the gift-card balance, with the remaining amount paid separately.

  • Have no cash value except where redemption for cash is required by law.

  • Cannot be used to purchase additional gift cards unless expressly permitted.

  • Are subject to applicable federal and state gift-card laws regarding expiration, fees, and refunds.

Gift cards do not guarantee the availability of a particular companion, date, or service location.

If a gift recipient lives outside our current service area, please contact us before purchasing.

Any expiration terms or restrictions will be disclosed at purchase and will comply with applicable law.

12. Respectful Conduct

Stay for Dinner is built around kindness, dignity, and mutual respect.

We expect guests, family members, and companions to treat one another respectfully.

We do not tolerate harassment, discrimination, threatening behavior, or inappropriate conduct.

We reserve the right to discontinue services when necessary to protect the safety and well-being of guests or companions.

13. Changes to Services

We may occasionally update our offerings, pricing, service areas, or operating procedures.

Changes will not alter the agreed price or essential terms of an already confirmed reservation without the customer's consent, except as permitted by law.

14. Responsibility and Liability

Stay for Dinner, LLC strives to provide safe, thoughtful, and professionally delivered experiences.

However, preparing and consuming food, participating in household activities, and inviting service providers into a home involve certain inherent risks.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Stay for Dinner, LLC is not responsible for losses resulting from inaccurate or incomplete information supplied by customers, undisclosed hazards, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

Any additional limitations of liability must be set out in a separate, legally reviewed provision.

15. Privacy

We respect the privacy of our guests and their families.

Our collection, use, and handling of personal information are described in our Privacy Policy, available on our website.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service as our business evolves.

Updated terms will be posted on our website with a revised effective date.

The terms applicable to a confirmed booking will generally be those accepted when the booking was made, unless otherwise agreed or required by law.
